About me.
I’m a 1st generation Filipino-American, born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. I grew up on watching cartoons, reading comics, playing G.I. Joes and watching martial arts flicks on Super Samurai Sunday. I’m also a big fan of Bruce Lee. I live by his philosophy, “Use only that which works, and take from any place you can find it.” My portfolio showcases my skills in drawing, painting, and diversity in disciplines.
I’m currently a Senior Illustrator at one of the largest ad agencies in the Midwest, DraftFCB Chicago. I earned a BFA at the American Academy of Art and continued my education at the School of Representational Art to further my skills. I’ve worked as a Storyboard Artist, Caricature Artist, Muralist, Painter and have exhibited at various galleries.
In my spare-time I like to sketch new characters, read about mythology, watch movies that scare my girlfriend, and “Veg-Out” in front of the TV with my dog. I seek to improve myself and my craft by keeping an open mind and heart. I’m inspired everyday by my girlfriend, my cat-dog, my family, my friends, and my angel (Mom). I look forward to new challenges and adventures in my Artist’s Journey.
